Naproxin

Naproxin used to be a prescription pain reliever, but is now sold over the counter as Aleve. It is used frequently for common aches and pains and arthritis pain relief.

Recently, it has been suggested that regular use of naproxin may increase the likelihood of heart attack. More studies need to be conducted to provide positive evidence of this. The reason for concern is due to the results of a study examining the effectiveness of naproxin in relation to alzheimers. In that study, heart attacks were more common among those participants taking naproxin.
