Iquimod

Iquimod is the active ingredient in Aldara, a prescription drug to treat anogenital warts. You generally apply iquimod as a cream to existing warts at night and then wash it off in the morning. You do this three times a week for up to a month. If the warts aren't gone by then, then you should consult a doctor before continuing treatment.

It's possible that the skin you apply the medication to will get dry, itchy, red, or burning during treatment. If this becomes to uncomfortable, then discontinue treatment.
