Nefedipine helps to control the effects of high blood pressure. It doesn't make high blood pressure go away, but it helps prevent negative side effects. It does this by expanding the blood vessels so that blood can travel more easily through the body and reduces the stress on the heart. In order to benefit from nefedipine, you take it everyday regardless of how you feel. And you should notify your doctor if you notice any negative changes in the way you feel while you're on the drug.
