Benzoil Peroxide

Benzoil peroxide is used to treat acne and is used as the main ingredient in many different acne medications. A lot of them you can get over the counter, but some are by prescription only.
It's always used as a topical treatment. You should never use more of it or use it more frequently than the directions say or it could irritate your skin. As with many acne treatments, benzoil peroxide may irritate your skin at first and it may make your acne get worse before it gets better, so be prepared for that.
