Acetaminaphen can be taken to relieve pain or reduce fever. It's often taken for headaches. It's available without a prescription, but will sometimes also be prescribed by a doctor. Acetaminaphen may be an alternative pain reliever to ibuprofen or aspirin if they are ineffective. Acetaminaphen may cause upset stomach if it's taken on an empty stomach. Try to take it with food if possible.
