Prednasone is a corticosteroid that is used to treat a large number of different disorders and problems. It can relieve inflammation and swelling and is used to treat certain skin problems, such as itching caused by allergies. Prednasone, while it can be an effective relief of certain symptoms, can have a couple of inconvenient side effects. Prednasone inhibits the immune system so that you are more susceptible to infection while taking it. So you want to stay away from anyone who may be sick. It also can interfere with your concentration and memory so that you become easily side tracked and a little "loopy". It may even increase your energy for a time.
