Hydracortisone

Hydracortisone is a corticosteroid that is prescribed to treat a wide variety of different problems. It's injected into a large muscle and the injection itself can be quite painful.

What it does - it reduces inflammation. However, inflammation can be caused by a huge number of different problems. Therefore, hydracortisone does nothing to eliminate the cause of the inflammation, but just tries to reduce the inflammation, treating the symptom not the cause.
