Zolpidem Tartate

Zolpidem Tartate is the chemical name for the prescription drug Ambian. It is a sedative used to treat short term insomnia and provide a restful night's sleep.

Unlike some sleep aids from the past (and present), ambian induces sleep by affecting the brain and central nervous system. Some other drugs cause sleep by relaxing the muscles. The effects generally wear off well before 8 hours so that you can wake without feeling drowsy throughout the morning.
