Avadart

Avodart is a prescription drug that can help shrink an enlarged prostate or at least stop it from getting any larger. Glaxo Smith Kline, the makers of Avadart, recommend that the drug be taken for at least 6 months before assessing whether or not there has been any improvement at all, and perhaps at least 2 years overall.
It works by reducing the amount of the hormone that contributes to prostate enlargement, so the reduction in the size of the prostate can take time just as it takes time to enlarge.
