Lescol is a cholesterol-lowering drug available from Novartis. It can lower the bad cholesterol (LDL) in your blood and raise the good kind of cholesterol (HDL). The drug should really be used in conjuction with a healthy low-cholesterol diet and exercise, and shouldn't usually be used before these measures have been tried first without the drug.

Side effects are uncommon and mild, but you'll need to have some test done first to make sure that you don't have liver problems that could be exacerbated with the drug.
