Finasteride is the chemical name for Propecia. Propecia is probably the most popular drug now for stopping male pattern baldness. The only side effects I've seen reported for Propecia are sex-related - decreased sex drive and impotence. In fact, I read that these side effects occurred in less than 2% of men in the study. Is that high or low? I don't know. So if you try Propecia, pay attention to this. It's very unlikely to happen. If it does, then you can decide whether or not it's worth it to fight your hair loss problem.
