Zycam started as a different kind of cold remedy, but now there are Zycams for colds, flu, and allergies. Zycam is a homeopathinc remedy whose primary ingredient is zinc. Zinc is believed by many to be an effective treatment for such illnesses and can reduce the amount of time it takes to get rid of the illness. Rather than treat the symtpoms of the illness, Zycam fights the illness so that it goes away faster, and in the process the symptoms may be less severe.
